Wiltshire & Grannis Recognized as a Top-Tier Ranking in Chambers USA 2012
Chambers and Partners has recognized Wiltshire and Grannis as a Band 1 law firm in the areas of "Telecom, Broadcast & Satellite" in its Chambers USA guide to attorneys and law firms. This is the fifth consecutive year in which W&G has received this honor. The full write-up of the firm's ranking is available here. Four W&G partners have again been individually recognized by Chambers: - John Nakahata, ranked as a Band 1 attorney, has been described by clients as "straightforward, honest and smart." Nakahata's insight into the workings of the FCC has landed him the position of lead regulatory counsel on matters for Sorenson and Level 3 Communications. - Christopher Wright was also ranked as head of the firm's appellate practice. - Paul Margie was praised for his experience in telecommunications-related regulation and transactions. - William Wiltshire was recognized for his business acumen, and interviewees noted that it was a valuable part of his counsel. Chambers' rankings are based on extensive research, which includes interviews with a firm's clients and assessments of other practitioners in the firm's field. From these sources, W&G was praised for the easy access to very smart attorneys, and the firm's ability to think outside the box. Wiltshire & Grannis LLP is one of the premier communications, information technology and litigation law firms in North America. The firm's clients include Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, investors and other organizations. As former senior government officials, federal prosecutors, Congressional staff and experienced litigators, W&G lawyers advise their clients on how decision makers think, how legal and political institutions work in the real world and how those institutions can affect a transaction or business plan.
